2007 Legislative Review
House Bill 1355 and Senate Bill 2526, which would have allowed
for the exemption of certain entities' employees from our licensure
statutes, are both now non-issues. We strongly opposed this
legislation and took every possible opportunity to speak against
its passage. Our members, our Corporate Counsel, Steve Ecenia,
and our lobbyist, Will McKinley, worked long and hard to stop these
bills. This is a great example of government listening to
the voice of the people.
